Job Description
- Perform structural welding activities using **MIG, TIG, and Arc welding** techniques in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications. - Interpret **blueprints, isometrics, shop drawings, and weld symbols** to execute accurate fabrication and installation. - Fit, tack, weld, and finish structural steel components, including frames, supports, platforms, brackets, and related assemblies. - Ensure welds meet required codes/standards and pass visual inspection and applicable NDT requirements as directed by QA/QC. - Prepare materials and work areas, including surface cleaning, beveling, alignment, and dimensional checks prior to welding. - Maintain welding equipment and tools; conduct pre-use checks and report defects or required maintenance promptly. - Follow project **HSE** requirements, including hot work controls, PPE compliance, and safe handling of gas cylinders and consumables. - Coordinate with team members and supervisors to support productivity targets and milestone deliverables. - Complete required documentation, such as weld logs, work permits, and inspection records, in line with site procedures. - Maintain good housekeeping standards in the workshop and on-site work areas to support a safe and efficient operation.
