Job Description
- Perform masonry work including block/brick laying, plastering support, surface preparation, and finishing as directed by site supervision. - Assist skilled masons with material handling, mixing mortar, setting up work areas, and maintaining consistent workflow. - Read and follow basic layout marks and instructions provided by forepersons and engineers. - Use basic construction tools and equipment safely (e.g., trowels, levels, mixers, wheelbarrows, hand tools). - Load, unload, and move construction materials and debris within the site in an orderly manner. - Prepare and clean work areas, including scaffolding/working platforms as permitted and instructed, ensuring proper housekeeping standards. - Support quality checks by ensuring alignment, levels, and finishing meet required standards before handover to supervisors. - Follow all site safety rules, PPE requirements, and toolbox talks; report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately. - Coordinate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and site management to maintain productivity and schedule. - Perform other related construction duties assigned to support project delivery.
